I needed some extra sheets of 4x6 photo paper to run the ink cartridge
in my Picturemate down to empty. So I thought I would try this premium
paper. The Epson website is very vague about what paper will work in
the Picturemate. Well my experiment shows that the S041727 paper works
better than the T5570 paper that comes with the refill kit. The S041727
paper is thicker and whiter than standard picturemate paper.
I purchased this paper because it was the cheapest brand out there- and
printing your own photos is an expensive hobby. I had intended to use
Epson papers for trial runs or copies for friends. However, the quality
of my photos was incredible using epson paper. The colors are much
more vivid and they don't fade over time as some photo papers do. I now
use Epson paper for all my 4x6 photos and I save money!
Not only is this photo paper the most inexpensive paper I have used, but
it is simply the best. The printed photos have a glossy finish that
makes them indistinguishable from the regular film prints. I have used
Kodak and HP premium papers and they don't hold a candle to the Epson
brand. I have also used the older Epson paper and a no-name brand and
neither were as bright and brilliant as this paper. I am using an Epson
Stylus Photo RX500 and the prints are fabulous.
I bought an Epson Artisan 810 printer and so decided after using up the
HP and generic photo paper that I had to try Epson's paper. The photos
that were printed were remarkably good, far better than those printed on
photo paper from other companies. Colors are true. The print that
results is crisp and detail is sharp. Any issues that arise are the
result of clogged nozzles or poor quality ink that can happen with some
generic products. The price is reasonable as well. Epson makes quite
good products-printer, ink and paper perform nicely.
Although this Epson paper is designed specifically for Epson printers, I
have used it with several different brands of photo printers and it
seems to work with all of them with no problem. It does have a nice
smooth, glossy finish and is pretty durable. I would recommend it to
anyone in the market for photo paper.
Almost as good as lab developed photos. You'll only see the difference
when you place them side by side. Not a money saver though as as you
can see the price of this is actually more expensive than having your
photos printed out at like WM for a hundred+ photos. This comes out
each sheet as 15 cents versus WM's 13 cents (ink included). So, what
you're actually buying here is convenience.
For me though, we
need photos and artwork printed out all the time at home. So we still
print out photos at home and this photo paper serves and does it purpose
magnificently. The paper is as thick as average lab photos. The shine
is not as shiny though. But then again, like said only noticeable when
placed next to lab photos.
I have tried about every brand of photo paper on the market. Epson
premium photo paper is the best I have found. You get professional
results equal to any photo lab. And Amazon is the place to get the best
bargain. High volume user.
These were great photo sheets at a reasonable price. I have a new Epson
Artsan 835 and they worked perfectly. I'm an amateur photographer, but
am solid at post processing and the results turned out as I hoped, very
professional looking.
I ordered this paper after trying some of the dollar store brand photo
paper trying to get by cheap. I was expecting it to be better but
instead what I got was incredible. I have a Canon printer and with this
paper you can not tell the difference between photos I printed and
photos from the local lab. If you don't get outstanding results from
this paper then either you're doing something wrong or you need a new
printer, it's amazing. I have tried photo paper from Kodak, HP, Canon
and Office Depot brand and this paper is hands down the best I've used .
My title says it all. Thanks Epson and Amazon for a great product.I think the paper made the pictures we took even better looking.
Pictures dried quickly; which has a lot to do with the ink as well. But
the gloss looked great and they are packaged well. Did its job and I
couldn't be happier.
A word on photo quality. Using a Epson Artisan printer with the correct
paper will produce better photos than you will get at a typical photo
lab. I highly recommend the Epson Photo papers as they are designed for
the Epson inks and the Epson printers specifically. I tested the "Epson
Premium Photo Paper Glossy" and "Epson Ultra Premium Photo Paper Glossy"
and recommend both. Looking at the same image side by side on the two
papers the differences are almost imperceptible. The detail and color
are identical under the most careful scrutiny. A few differences emerge
under very careful observation:
* The Ultra Premium Paper is slightly
heavier paper, this adds to its stiffness. When picking up a 4x6" photo
from the 4" edge there is about half as much bend vs the Premium Paper.
*
The Ultra Premium Paper has an ISO brightness of 96, versus 92 for the
Premium Paper. This makes no difference in color rich areas of photos
but in light highlights if you stare long enough you can convince
yourself they are brighter in the Ultra Premium. Telling the difference
in brightness requires good light, identical photos side by side, and
far too much scrutiny.
* The Premium costs about 12.7 cents per 4x6
sheet in packs of 100
* The Ultra Premium costs about 22.7 cents per
4x6 sheet in packs of 100This color print paper works great on my Epson Stylus color printer. The
only caveat I have is don't lay the paper down on the clear plastic
envelope that holds the paper as there is a sticky strip on the clear
plastic that will ruin any paper it touches. Also do not leave the
print paper out in the light keep it in the dark and in the box until
you are ready to use it. Great stuff! Is not terribly expensive
either.
I've been using Epson photo paper for years and this lives up to my past
experience. It is great! The pictures from my Epson Stylus Photo
R1900 printer look like they came from a lab. I highly recommend Epson
paper (and photo printers). Also, you can't beat Amazon's promotional
price.
Since I've learned that it really is important to use Epson ink in Epson
printers, I use their
paper as well. My wife likes glossy and thinks
four star is good enough---so that's what I buy.
I do shop around
for the best price. I've never had a bad box.
OMGGGGGG,Im Just Amaze how nice and Great i feel about this product. i
decided to buy this because i have an epson artisan 835 printer and i
needed some photo paper, but i didnt want to buy it in the stores cause
it was very expensive, so i went to amazon to see if i can get it for
the right price, then i manage to see this so i ordered it and i just
received this in the mail today and im so excited to try it out. ok, 25
minutes after i decided to test it out to see how it is, and omgggg,
this is AWESOMEE :) i printed my very first photo and it came out
Absolutely Gorgeous. :-) I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE with A INK-JET
Printer and Want gorgeous Stunning Pictures :) Im Buying This Again
Forsure.. Thank-You Sooo Much For this. 100%-100%
I have used Epson glossy photo paper with several models of Epson
printers for nearly ten years, and I have never been disappointed. It
may also work well with other printers, but it's a perfect match for
most of the Epson printers. Currently, I'm using the glossy paper with
my RX-595 all-in-one (using only Epson dye-based ink) and my R1900
(Epson branded pigmented ink), and I'm getting excellent results. Full
retail cost for the paper is rather pricey, but this was a VERY good
deal through Amazon.com. Bought the Epson Artisan 810 this summer after owning a Cannon for many
years. I still had some Cannon paper to use up - all was printing
fantastic quality. Once the Cannon paper was almost gone, decided to
order the Epson paper - as is recommended. I thought something was wrong
with the ink, with the printer - faint lines across every picture. I
put a couple sheets of the cannon back in that I had and it printed
perfect, floorless pictures. DO NOT BUY THE EPSON PAPER! The printer is
fabulous, the paper is horrible. Buy Cannon paper.
This is one product that I recomend because it holds the finish and
dries instantly. I have used other products and they only smear after
coming out if not placed seperatly to dry. i have bought this paper for
the last three years and will keep on getting it over any other photo
paper. I recomend it to everyone who uses and epson printer.
We've been using HP inkjet printers for years and we have a pretty good
stash of 4x6 photo paper that we had planned to use with our new Epson
Artisan 710 printer. Unfortunately, when we printed our first 4x6 photo
we knew immediately that something was wrong since the colors were
extremely blotchy and it took the ink several minutes to dry.
I
tried changing every printer and quality setting I could find, then it
occurred to me that the problem might be the HP paper. I was skeptical,
but I figured I would buy a pack of this paper just to test the theory
since it is fairly inexpensive.
Anyway, I know it sounds crazy,
but this paper completely solved the problem and we're getting beautiful
prints from our new Epson Artisan 710 printer! If you're planning on
using HP photo paper with an Epson printer; take my advice and give it
away instead - then buy some of this Epson paper for awesome results!
As
far as the quality of the paper goes, it feels just like the paper used
by professional labs. It also has the right level of gloss to print
photos that are sharp and colorful.
