should i buy Ilford Galerie Smooth Pearl 8 1/2 x 11 inch Inkjet Photo Paper reviews

Designed for use with all inkjet printers, Ilford Galerie smooth pearl photo paper uses a Micro-ceramic technology and a smooth pearl finish to help you achieve professional-looking results, without a trip to the photo lab. This 280 g/m2 paper has a 99% opacity and a 14-22% gloss, resulting in a sturdy feel and a life expectancy of about 10 years. 100 sheets of paper are provided in each package.
GALERIE Smooth Pearl Paper features the very latest HDR (High Dynamic Range) optically clear nonporous coating for outstanding imaging performance combined with the benefit of 'touch dry' from the printer. The high density heavyweight base has a natural photographic white tint to produce prints with excellent color gamut and high sharpness. The pearl surface eliminates glare and finger prints giving the true look and feel of a photographic print. It is compatible with all high quality dye and pigment based inkjet printers.
When I first started developing my own black and white prints almost 30 years ago I fell in love with Ilford pearl. More recently I switched to digital imaging and Ilford Smooth Pearl provides the same beautiful paper finish for ink jet printers that they provided for film developers. The paper has a great look and feel and is reistant to fading. It has the feel of a high quality traditional photo paper. It also works with encapsulated pigmented inks as well as dye based inks. It drys instantly and because of its luster type surface is resistant to smudge marks and finger prints. Ilford also offers a classic version of Pearl, but it is not usable with pigmented inks. I am using Ilford Smooth Pearl with my Epson Stylus 2200 with great results.
Like other reviewers, I have tried virtually all the E surface, satin, semigloss papers. I have used Digital Art Supplies' ICI Olemec for years, preferring it to Epson's Photo Lustre for brighter whites and heavier grade(260). Ilford's Smooth Pearl paper, particularly in larger quantities,at Amazon's price, is about 40% cheaper, palpably noticeably heavier(290), and equal in quality and surface to ICI. The base whiteness of the paper is slightly less than that of ICI, and essentially equivalent to Epson Luster. Even though, when framed, weight is not particularly important, the heft this paper has when handled bespeaks its high quality, similar to the analagous professionally produced custom halide photographic print.

Ilford provides free profiles for all of their major papers for most of the late model quality inkjet printers from Epson, HP and Canon. This is a must download from www.ilford.com/gallerie, if you are printing from Photoshop(where you select the profile in the Print with Preview dialogue box) and calibrate your monitor; that is if you want the optimum congruence between your monitor's output and what you see on the print. With proper attention to details, color matching is excellent and the wide RGB gamut is faithfully reproduced.

Prints are immediately dry and exhibit no significant metamerism with the Epson ultrachrome inks. I currently use an Epson R800, but I have seen prints on this paper with the Epson K3 inks and they are superb as well.

With the K3 set on the latest generation R2400 or 4800, which includes three shades of black cartridges, this paper beautifully displays neutral blacks and greys with a wide tonal range to produce spectacular black and white prints(if the files themselves are such!) which is not possible with the R800 printer whose ink set effectively uses only one tonal black cartridge, either photo or matte black. The B/W prints are good with the R800, but have an unavoidable slight color cast and a compressed tonal range which is NOT the fault of the paper.

Smooth pearl is a fabulous all purpose surface with a satin type gloss, muted with respect to pure glossy, but with more sparkle than a standard matte finish. The E surface is a standard for professional output, particularly for portraiture and the wedding industry, but is a worthy format for just about any type of subject matter.

In summary, this is a super quality product at an amazingly competitive price.I have tried all the papers. Ilford is above all the others. I only used the Ilford Gallerie Professional Inkjet Photo Range - smooth gloss paper until I tried this. What I just mentioned is fantastic for high gloss prints. Touch dry before it falls from the printer. This pearl finish is excellent - the best for portraits. There is NONE better

should i buy Ilford Galerie 4 x 6 Inch Smooth Pearl Paper 100 Sheets reviews

Gallerie Smooth Pearl Paper combines the excellent 'Instant' dry properties of a porous product with the elegant finish of a pearl print. The heavyweight base produces prints with excellent consistency and superb photographic quality. The pearl surface eliminates glare and finger prints giving the true look and feel of a photographic print. It is compatible with all high-quality dye and pigment based inkjet printers.Ilford is well known in photography circles for making quality photo paper for dark room use, so I am not surprised at the quality of their inkjet photo papers. I use this paper exclusively to produce photos on my Canon Pixma iP5000 printer. I started off using Canon products as recommended but found the finish of those papers to be very fragile to moisture and scratching. Even with very careful handling I couldn't even get the photo into my albums without surface scratching. Matte finish Canon papers did not give the vibrant results I wanted. I tried several other brands as well, but could not get the true photo-like results that I wanted. I stopped searching after my first print on Ilford pearl finish paper. This paper is heavyweight and feels like a standard photograph. If you don't know it's printed on a desktop, you won't be able to tell without a magnifying glass. The finish is incredibly durable and can be passed around from person to person without damage. The base of the paper is a very bright white, leading to nice contrast in photos, bright whites, and vibrant colors. I do have to adjust the yellows (-15) for my printer, but this isn't a flaw, just a facet of printing on a desktop printer. I have had photos hanging in frames under standard glass on my walls for almost two years now and haven't had any issues of color deterioration. My albums are equally stable.
Paper rocks! Color holds up well over time and ink does not smear at all! Color consistency and accuracy is astounding. I'm using a Canon Pixma MP990 and the quality is just legendary. Could not be happier... well perhaps if ink were cheaper. ;) My wife printed an entire family photo album and we are both ecstatic with the results. Maybe it's the printer, maybe it's the paper, maybe it's Maybelline but it sure looks phenomenal. A+++
I've printed 1000's of photos using different brands of papers and had been satisfied with the results. You know, the brands that are available at the local walmart. However, I was stunned at the difference when I started using the Ilford paper.

My photos have a more professional look to them. Maybe it's because I have shot thousands of photos and my skill has improved a little bit. I'm inclined to give the paper the bigger share of the credit.

If you use a junk printer then don't waste your money on better paper. The paper can't exceed the limitations of the printer. I have two different epson stylus photo series printers and I can see a difference between the papers. I bought the Smooth Pearl since I needed a quality 4x6 photo paper since Epson does not make their Ultra Premium Luster in 4x6 size. This is a very good paper and is on par with the Epson brand, The only drawback I found is that it gives more magenta than the Epson brand, but that can be corrected during post processing. I wanted a paper that could stand up to being handled but would still produce the crisp, vivid image detail, colours and contrast of a glossy paper. I also wanted to get away from the gloss as much as possible. But I also wanted to keep the cost down as much as possible. For me this Ilford Galerie paper works on all counts. Except for the gloss a print on this paper next to a print made on Canon's premium glossy paper are identical with regards to colour, contrast and image detail. I find this paper perfect for making my own postcards and other photo's that will be handed around a lot. My only complaint is I wish they would offer this paper in a heavier grade specific for use in making postcards. But even in its current weight I have had good success with mailing prints out as postcards. I use nothing but. I don't like the look of "glossy" paper. It's just too shinny. This paper gives off a small amount of shine but also reflects some of the looks of "matte" paper.
I keep 4 x 6, 5 x 7 and 8.5 x 11 in stock at all times. Paper rocks! Color holds up well over time and ink does not smear at all! Color consistency and accuracy is astounding. I'm using a Canon Pixma MP990 and the quality is just legendary. should i buy Canon Photo Paper Matte, 4 x 6 Inches, reviews

Make all your documents look spectacular--from full-color proposals, sales materials and business correspondence to colorful charts, graphics and more. Matte Photo Paper has a bright white base, designed to yield crisp text and intensify highlights.
Create photos with a matte finish, just like the professionals. This heavyweight paper is ideal for printing pictures with a matte finish. Matte Photo Paper's bright white base produces vibrant colors for excellent looking photographic results.I recently purchased a new canon printer and knew I wanted to order some paper along with the purchace of the printer. I love matte finish and had always selected this for my film photos. I ordered this paper with some trepidation because of the one reviewer that thought this paper was such poor quality. There have been some who have said it is difficult to tell which side of the paper to use, and this is true. There is no "Canon" written across the back of this paper. If you do select the 'wrong' side of the paper and didn't realize it, anyone would be dissapointed and I do hope the one reviewer will return here and try the other side of her paper. To use the right side of the paper, hold two pieces of the paper up to each other. The right side to print on is the brighter white and has a very lightly textured surface. The wrong side of the paper is more yellowish and is very smooth. When printing on the right side of the paper the photos come out absolutely stunning. My printer came with samples of the photo paper pro (glossy) which is probably quite nice if you are a glossy paper person. It wasn't until I could see my photos printed on this 4 x 6 matte paper that I could really appreciate the quality of my printer. If you are a lover of Matte finish, you will love this paper. It lets the photo grab the attention rather than the shiny finish. I am extremely satisfied with my purchase! I've never really cared for glossy finish photos and was happy to find this matte finish photo paper in the 4x6 size. It makes printing my digital photos easy and fun! Especially easy with my Canon PIXMA MP750 All-In-One Printer! I guess some people presume that photograph should look shiny and glossy all over. Non for everyone. I like matte finish. Also it's has much more longevity-if you touch it with your sweat fingers it won't smudge as gloosy prints. To anyone who hates matte appearence I will recomend to visit museum with picture gallery. Do you see lots of shine there? No. Glossy print may appear to be sharper-but it's only appearence. Do take your picture in good focus and you'll have exelent results no matter what paper matte or glossy. This paper is not waste of money-as a matter of fact, you save bunch of it buying this paper over glossy. Higly reccomend. I love matte photos, and I wanted to believe the people who bought this and said it is an excellent product. However, I used it and indeed, it is like using regular paper only a little thicker. Please don't waste your money on this product; I have already returned it thirty minutes after receiving it. I was looking for a nice matte finish for some work i was doing, and I thought this would do the trick, bu twas I wrong...
I concur with the others, this is just ink sucking card stock! I looked everywhere for Matte Photo Paper. Not being able to find it in the stores, I went to my reliable Amazon and found that Cannor had the Matte Finish...SO Happy!!!,, until I open the box to find CARBOARD.
To say I was not very happy would be an understatement. How can Cannon, in good conscious sell this product as Matte Photo Paper. Oh! I forgot, business today don't play by those rules any longer. I've printed photos for over tens years and this paper is not photo quality at all. Very, very disappointing. I love all Canon's paper except this one. Truly, I am amazed they would even put their name on it as photo paper. Normally I don't believe in negative reviews and find most are user caused, but this is not the case for this item and I think we should all get our money back! the Matte photo paper is different from what I think it should be....the result is much different from the Matte photo from the outside photo print studio...I only try out one...I wouldn't use it anymore..the Matte photo paper is different from what I think it should be....the result is much different from the Matte photo from the outside photo print studio...I only try out one...I wouldn't use it anymore..This is excellent matte photo paper. I have used it to print photos and cards. Text comes out very crisp and photo print quality is excellent. You won't get the same depth of blacks as you would for glossy paper, but the prints still look great.

I have only been using canon brand paper on my Pixma as per the recommendation of others and it seems to be a good choice!

Buy lots! Great to have on hand! Snowed a few days before Christmas this year and I took a ton of pics of my kids first time out sledding. Printed the images with my Canon MX870 and was smiling ear to ear. I could not believe the quality of the photos. Picked up the pictures and no smudging at all when touched. One week later and the photos have survived my 2yr old twins and still look great.
I highly recommend this paper for printing pics for family and friends.

DBM Bought this for my mother for Christmas to use with her new photo printer, as she has always preferred store matte finishes. And this is nothing like store matte finishes. It's dull and lifeless. The quality is horrible and blurred. If you're expecting the somewhat shinny matte paper that you get from photo shops, don't buy this one (buy Ilford Premium Pearl Photo instead). I was disappointed when I first openned the package to find "regular" paper. The paper has a brighter white and a little more weight than regular printer paper. Having said that, this paper produces beautiful warm skin tone and brilliant white compared to the Canon Glossy II [which seems to have a greenish tint when compared side by side]. Love the fact that I don't have to worry about finger print. The only negative thing I can say about the image quality is that pictures appear to be overall darker than the glossy paper [especially in the shaded area]. Give this paper a try if you can get over the feeling of being ripped off b/c it feels like regular paper. Better yet, give Ilford Premium Pearl Photo paper a try and you won't be disappointed.

should i buy Epson Premium Photo Paper GLOSSY (4x6 Inches reviews

Epson's Premium Glossy Photo Paper provides high quality, high gloss photo prints, perfect for use in glass frames, photo albums, and even for enlargements. Each package contains 100 sheets of 4-by-6-inch photo paper, recommended for use in many Epson printers for delivering border-free prints. This paper has a bright white (92 ISO rating) resin coat finish that helps ink dry quickly, resisting smudging and bleeding.
Print high-quality photos for glass frames and photo albums. Bright white resin coated paper. Quick-dry surface for smudge- and water-resistance. Form Type: N/A; Global Product Type: Photo Paper; Paper Type: N/A; Sheet Size (W x H): 4 in x 6 in. I needed some extra sheets of 4x6 photo paper to run the ink cartridge in my Picturemate down to empty. So I thought I would try this premium paper. The Epson website is very vague about what paper will work in the Picturemate. Well my experiment shows that the S041727 paper works better than the T5570 paper that comes with the refill kit. The S041727 paper is thicker and whiter than standard picturemate paper.
I purchased this paper because it was the cheapest brand out there- and printing your own photos is an expensive hobby. I had intended to use Epson papers for trial runs or copies for friends. However, the quality of my photos was incredible using epson paper. The colors are much more vivid and they don't fade over time as some photo papers do. I now use Epson paper for all my 4x6 photos and I save money!
Not only is this photo paper the most inexpensive paper I have used, but it is simply the best. The printed photos have a glossy finish that makes them indistinguishable from the regular film prints. I have used Kodak and HP premium papers and they don't hold a candle to the Epson brand. I have also used the older Epson paper and a no-name brand and neither were as bright and brilliant as this paper. I am using an Epson Stylus Photo RX500 and the prints are fabulous. I bought an Epson Artisan 810 printer and so decided after using up the HP and generic photo paper that I had to try Epson's paper. The photos that were printed were remarkably good, far better than those printed on photo paper from other companies. Colors are true. The print that results is crisp and detail is sharp. Any issues that arise are the result of clogged nozzles or poor quality ink that can happen with some generic products. The price is reasonable as well. Epson makes quite good products-printer, ink and paper perform nicely. This was literally the only paper I could find in this size !!!
Luckily is does a decent job. Fills a nice niche as 11x14.
worried they wont produce it much longer though. bought this paper from Amazon, makes beautiful photos , at a reasonable price, arrived very quickly, no negatives. Used it with a Lexmark printer.I am fairly new to the "print your own photos" world. Someone well experienced in the matter recommended Epson printers & paper. I use an Epson Stylus Photo 1400 printer. Have experimented with other name brand photo papers and find that Epson puts out the best product at a fair price. I have been completely satisfied with the whole Epson photo printing product line. Although this Epson paper is designed specifically for Epson printers, I have used it with several different brands of photo printers and it seems to work with all of them with no problem. It does have a nice smooth, glossy finish and is pretty durable. I would recommend it to anyone in the market for photo paperThis Epson paper is pretty good, but it is a little pricey. If you can get it on sale it is a buy. I have used it with several different brands of photo printers and it seems to work with all of them with no problem. It does have a nice smooth, glossy finish and is pretty durable. Almost as good as lab developed photos. You'll only see the difference when you place them side by side. Not a money saver though as as you can see the price of this is actually more expensive than having your photos printed out at like WM for a hundred+ photos. This comes out each sheet as 15 cents versus WM's 13 cents (ink included). So, what you're actually buying here is convenience.

For me though, we need photos and artwork printed out all the time at home. So we still print out photos at home and this photo paper serves and does it purpose magnificently. The paper is as thick as average lab photos. The shine is not as shiny though. But then again, like said only noticeable when placed next to lab photos. I have tried about every brand of photo paper on the market. Epson premium photo paper is the best I have found. You get professional results equal to any photo lab. And Amazon is the place to get the best bargain. High volume user. If you want a printer paper that is one step above Epson's regular glossy paper, this paper is recommended. It is a little whiter and brighter and shows more detail than matte paper. On a Canon 4300 printer, and comparing side to side with several prints, I could not tell any difference in 8X10 photo prints between this paper and the Costco (Kirkland) paper. None. Same gloss level, same detail and color hues, and if I mixed them up on the table, I bet nobody could tell the difference. Remember, this is the high gloss premium, not Epson's next step up. I haven't tried that one yet, but I will. The Epson Premium Glossy paper is just that. I received it in perfect condition the paper is good quality. Its the 11x14 and not 11x17, which was some what difficult to find. 11x14 is camera (Film) proportion size and 11x17, I believe is paper tabloid size. These were great photo sheets at a reasonable price. I have a new Epson Artsan 835 and they worked perfectly. I'm an amateur photographer, but am solid at post processing and the results turned out as I hoped, very professional looking.I ordered this paper after trying some of the dollar store brand photo paper trying to get by cheap. I was expecting it to be better but instead what I got was incredible. I have a Canon printer and with this paper you can not tell the difference between photos I printed and photos from the local lab. If you don't get outstanding results from this paper then either you're doing something wrong or you need a new printer, it's amazing. I have tried photo paper from Kodak, HP, Canon and Office Depot brand and this paper is hands down the best I've used . My title says it all. Thanks Epson and Amazon for a great product. I think the paper made the pictures we took even better looking. Pictures dried quickly; which has a lot to do with the ink as well. But the gloss looked great and they are packaged well. Did its job and I couldn't be happier. The photos we printed with this paper had an awful blue cast. Followed instructions, this was a bad experience! Do not recommend for the Artisan 50 Printer, especially if using remanufactured ink...

Great prints and 11x17 size, perfect combo. Grab this if you can! It goes in and out of stock oftenI ordered a pack of this to use on proofs/non-critical projects. Was a bit sceptical of using a 3rd party's paper with everything I had heard about the potential problems with using Non-Canon/Epson paper. Very pleased with the quality. I see no reason to pay twice as much for the major brands. I love this paper. It is a hard to find size, at a great price! It prints just like ebson paper. should i buy Epson Ultra Premium Photo Paper LUSTER (11.7x16.5 Inches reviews

Great print results BUT the 11.7 x 16.5 size which is a common size overseas makes it impossible to find a decent portfolio or even affordable sheet protectors. Currently Amazon has one set of A3 protectors selling at 25 for a 10 pack. That's nuts. Your only option then is to cut the paper (not always a clean result with luster) or buy an oversized book that leaves your prints swimming. These photo papers are absolutely the best when it comes to quality printing that you want to last! I tried an experiment on the premium luster paper by setting a water glass that was sweating on a photograph I had printed and let it sit for 10 minutes or so. I then removed the glass, blotted the water up and let it dry. When it was completely dry there was barely any sign of a water ring...infact I had to really examine the paper to see the tiny mark that was left behind. Item was as describes. The paper absorbs the ink very well and yields beautiful photos. Very satisfied customer. This paper is all you need to present your photos in their "best light" It is not harsh like a true glossy and it is not dull and flat like a mat paper. This paper adds luster and luminosity to your work and really makes the photos POP. Fairly recently I began using this paper in the 8.5 x 11 standard size. What really makes this paper great, besides the outstanding color, is the fact that you don't see the "infamous" glare on areas where no ink is used when using ultra brite inks on glossy paper. In a few weeks I'll receive my new Epson 3880 with Ultrachrome K3 ink. I am so anxious to print large format on this paper.

Now... my general complaint about inkjet paper, at least from Epson. What is it with these guys having such oddball print sizes for PHOTO papers? Standard PHOTO print sizes today are from 8 x 10 to 11 x 14, 12 x 18, 16 x 20 and 20 x 24!! Epson apparently thinks everyone cuts their own mats... or that everyone can afford to have custom sized mats made! FORTUNATELY, I DO actually cut my own mats.... but most of my customers don't! Most people have to rely on pre-cut mats and frames. There ain'ta no pre-cut mats with an 11.7" x 16.5" or 13" x 19" opening!! Also, the portfolio I use to display my prints is made for 11 x 14 prints. I know that THIS size can be cut down to 11 x 14, but why should we have to do that?? So what possessed them to manufacture these off the wall PHOTO paper sizes??? I see no problems with 17 x 22, since that is the largest size print this printer uses (among Epson pre cut papers). And most people who pay $175 and up for fine art prints of this size probably won't mind going to Aaron Brothers or Michaels to have custom made mats. Anyway, again, I do love their paper. This is an excellent all around paper for Epson Photo printers. I use this paper on a regular basis and have been very satisfied. Superb paper. And the size is a perfect fit for an out-of-the-camera image from the D300. I am not a pro, but I do print on Crane and Hahnemuehle papers as well. Matted and behind glass, this Epson paper certainly holds its own. What I really like (as I buy another batch today) is that by simply enlarging the native image width to 10" from the native 9.4" and letting the length increase proportionally one gets a perfect center fit with a nice white border.
Also, this paper's Premium ICC Profile provided by Epson for my Epson Photo R2400 gives me picture-perfect output from Photoshop CS3, even better than using the expensive ImagePrint RIP program. (I think ImagePrint does better with non-Epson papers).
If you have a D300 and want perfect images in a convenient size for display or for giving to friends, this is it. I have printed on this paper with an Epson 3800 and 4000, and the print quality is great. Even black and white looks fantastic, and there is a minimal amount of bronzing. If you can afford Silver Rag, go with that, but this paper is very nice. These photo papers are absolutely the best when it comes to quality printing that you want to last! Beautiful printing surface, but should be a true 11 x 17, or better yet, if they're going to exceed 11 to make it 11.7, why not 17.7 the other way?

should i buy Epson Ultra Premium Photo Paper LUSTER reviews

I use this paper to print out 2.3 to 4 megapixel digital photos on an Epson C44UX printer at 8 x 6. The finish of the paper has a beautiful jeweled look and the paper dries quickly. The colors do not smudge placed inside archival sleeves. In comparison to other papers I have used the past month, it's far superior to Southworth standard glossy paper. Southworth paper actually warps because the gel layer might be too thin or maybe because the paper is cheaply produced -- Southworth paper is essentially paper with a thin coating of something or other. Kodak Premium Photo paper (glossy) was not as good either. The Kodak paper has a cheaper look to it, but maybe it's due to the glossy finish(?). The Kodak paper is also whiter and the colors looked a bit washed out by comparison to the Epson prints. The print output looked like it came from an inkjet printer. Viewed alone, Kodak prints looked okay -- it's when you put them side by side with another paper that's better. HP Premium Plus (glossy) was nearly as good, but the colors also didn't seem to appear as natural. It may have something to do with whatever gel or emulsion Epson is coating this paper with. The results on Epson paper look like photos from the photo lab -- it's hard to believe my forty five buck printer can make this kind of output. Like someone said elsewhere, you can spend hundreds on a high tech printer, but if you get low quality paper, the results are yuck. So, I use my remaining supply of the other papers to print out labels and things, and I use the Epson paper to print out photos that I frame and hang on the wall. This paper is recommended. I have an Epson 960 Photo Printer. I have tried various Epson photo papers with the printer and this is by far the best. The premium glossy paper was nice but I could see some bands through the image that were barely percepible even when the printer was new. With the Premium Luster paper the ink lays down beautifully and perfectly and the image has what I can only describe in words as a rich feel to it. Paper selection is very personal but if you have not tried this paper you owe it to yourself to run some of it through your printer. There's a good chance you'll be back for more. I print a lot of pictures in my business. This is by far the best paper I have used. I have several types of printers, Cannon, Epson, HP and this works well with all of them. This is a great deal as far as price goes as well. I did a lot of research to find the least expensive to try this product out and this was the best price and the fastest delivery! Professional or family fun this is professional quality paper. As I said, this protects the screen, but there's no real glare reduction as I'd hoped for. fit my hp pavilion dv6 very well. pain to put on, DEFINITELY need TWO people. I've been using this paper for a while and I'm a fan. I much prefer the Luster finish to glossy or matte. I use an Artisan 815 This is quality paper at a good price for low quantity needs. Works well with laser jet and ink jet printer. This paper arrived quickly . It was just as ordered. My daughter needed it forschool in her photo class. Thanks The epson ultra premium photo paper came fast and was packed well! Love Amazon Prime! I highly recommend. The paper is really niceMy photography teacher asked me to buy this kind for my homework. I really like the finish of this product. I will definitely purchase it again. Other paper manufacturers will poo-poo Epson paper. Not me. I look at the output - what the results are - when I compare papers. And it's hard to beat this paper. Folks comment usually on the quality of the print (from my Epson R-1900). You can spend more, but you won't be able to see much of a difference. Matched with Epson OEM ink, and it's a good combo. Can't get much better. I think Epson makes the best photo paper and printers. I use this paper with the Epson Artisan 835 printer. This Luster is the perfect blend of matte and glossy which results in a great pearly finish. It also has a nice weight to the paper, unlike some other photo papers that seem too thin. It's the only paper I buy!! This paper is rivaled by none as a professional inkjet photo product. Epson has mastered the ink/quality/longevity/appearance of photo printing with this paper. The paper is heavy weight and has that "photo studio finish" on the front. The back of the paper very lightly says "Epson Professional Paper" but never gets seen so not a big deal for me. The wow factor is really the finish of the paper. Epson has resin-coated the finish side to maintain paper durability and color hold for a very long lasting image. My wife and I are Artists and have really found a winning combination with this paper and our Epson R2880 printer. We would certainly recommend to others and have already purchased more. I used this paper to print my daughter's year book photos and they came out great. The paper is heavy and gives a rich print. I was very happy with the results. For the type of paper, I'm not sure you can do any better. Luster seems to be a good finish for images where you don't need super sharp fine lines, but do want to reduce the effect of glare. This is the paper I use the most, though luster will make fine lines and edges appear slightly fuzzy, so I use gloss if extremely fine detail is important for some reason. The built-in printer profiles work great. This paper is the best i have used to make prints of art work. I scan my painting and print them using this paper - very high quality looking print.'m a senior majoring in photojournalism and this is my go-to paper when it comes to printing for class homework or critiques. This paper works very well with the Epson 4880 printers we have in the school's digital lab. The luster finish is ideal and the colors are true-to-life while still keeping a vibrance. The shadows have plenty of depth and the highlights are perfectly discernible. I really enjoy that no part of the image seems to fall flat when I'm printing with this paper.

The price of this paper is also the best to be found out there at less than $30 a box. A 50 pack can usually last me throughout one class per semester which is perfectly reasonable. I don't stress about making mistakes or wasting paper on a bad print when I'm printing on this paper. I'm a poor student, but I can afford to make the occasional error with this paper (not that I don't try to avoid mistakes at all).

When it comes to finals or printing for archival purposes, however, I prefer Moab's Lasal luster paper over Epson's. There is a slight quality difference, although there is also a dramatic price difference to go along with that. But when it comes to just making great prints for critique or test purposes, you're hard up to find a better paper than Epson's. I was very pleased with the prints produced on Epson Ultra Premium Photo Paper Luster. The only thing preventing me from giving it a 5 star rating is the fact that the back has a slick coating requiring a photo pen if you wish to write anything. It also has Epson printed on the back of the paper and I prefer a plain back. This paper handles ink wonderfully. It's quick drying, so there isn't any smearing or smudging within a minute or two of printing. Delivers a great sheen look without being overly glossy. We print our business' art productions on this paper and the colors come out true to the original works. Easy enough for an amateur and quality enough for a professional. I'm using this paper with my new Epson 3880 and I was shocked at how gorgeous the images are. I sell fine art prints and I think these look much better than the prints I was getting through online and local sites.

should i buy Epson Bright White Paper (8.5x11 Inches reviews

Has a sleek, ultra-smooth surface and 108+ brightness, ideal for day-to-day business and personal printing needs. Great for two-sided printing. Delivers crisp black text and vivid, colorful images. Guaranteed to work with all inkjet printers. Form Type: N/A; Global Product Type: Office Paper; Paper Type: N/A; Sheet Size (W x H): 8 1/2 in x 11 in. I've been using this paper for years and I'm consistently impressed by its quality. If you're using plain old photocopier-grade bond paper in your printer, moving up to this paper will be a massive improvement. You'll be shocked at how much brighter the colors coming out of your printer are, and how much sharper text and fine lines are. This is an excellent paper for day-to-day inkjet printing, even if you don't have an Epson printer. One caveat: The paper doesn't stand up well to heavy ink (e.g., printing a full-color photograph at high resolution). Use a glossy and/or coated paper for that. However, as this statement is true for all non-coated papers I don't penalize Epson for it. This is a very bright, white paper with enough thickness (4.3 mil, 24 lb) that you can print on both sides without seeing through it. Compared to most other ordinary printer papers, this is definitely superior. And at about the same price as cheaper papers as well.
My usual previous favorite was Kodak Bright White, which apparently is no longer made. This Epson paper is quite similar.
For the price, this is THE paper to use for everyday printing
This is great paper. It does make a difference. It's worth the price. It's also nice having it delivered insteading of lugging it back from the store.
I bought this paper after purchasing an Epson Aritsan 730 printer, only to see it not show very good print quality on generic printer paper. I had tested the Epson Photo paper, and found it to be superior in quality to the HP premium paper that I had used for Photos, so I figured perhaps I needed to go with better paper for my basic printing as well. Made a huge difference. Text looks wonderful on it. Paper is a nice thickness and doesn't feel as flimsy as most generic papers. It should...afterall, it's roughly double the price of bargain paper. But when you're looking to print something and have it look nice, better to go with good quality paper Better quality than I expected for the price
The paper has a nice weight to it
and is not thin at all
I'm pleasantly surprised
This was a good buy I do a lot of printing in relation to a small business that I run so I'm constantly looking for great deals on good quality printing paper. I do trust the Epson name so when I ran across this offer, I ordered it without any hesitation. So far, so pleased! The paper is bright (great for color printing) and sturdy enough to be used as label/art. Very absorbent and dries quickly! I will be ordering again = my only "con" was there is a small wrinkle at the top corner of one pacakge of paper (all pages). Not bad enough to cause any problem and was probably cause by poor (mailing) packaging. I was looking for a paper I could print images on on both sides. This paper is one-sided so that images on the bright, treated side are very sharp, images and text on the uncoated side are blurry by comparison. Otherwise the paper is fine. Have been using this paper for more than a year. I will reorder it when I need more. Text is clear, colors are good. Nice weight and paper color. This is a terrific general-purpose inkjet paper. It's my paper of choice for my Epson printer. Jams are extremely rare (averaging less than once per ream, unlike the big box office store brands, which jam all too often).

Although not noted in amazon's product description, this is a 24-pound (rather than 20-pound) paper. Two pluses and one minus to the heavier paper: (1) it just feels more solid than 20-pound, which makes it great for letters and such, and (2) it's better for two-sided printing; however, if you tend to push the limit when snail-mailing lots of pages, you have to allow for the slightly heavier weight.

The only paper that I have tried that comes close to Epson Premium Inkjet paper is Hammermill Premium Inkjet (which may not even be available any more). I've been looking forever for a light weight office type paper that I can use for long documents with lots of photos that prints double sided without bleeding through, and can hold a good black on both sides without falling apart.

I'm astonished with this Epson Bright White double sided paper, particularly since its only 90 gsm weight and it's a recycled paper. Let me say again, I'm astonished. It's the first office type (as opposed to photo use) paper I've tested that can have a photo full of black ink on one side without it bleeding through to the reverse side.

I've profiled this paper with an Eye One Spectrophotometer on both an Epson Workforce 600 and a Stylus Pro 3800, and it looks gorgeous on both. Particularly, the reds are much brighter and more accurate in colour than a normal office type paper, but so are most of the other colours.

Well worth it as a general purpose office paper when something better than a standard 80 gsm bond is needed. While ultimately I could have gotten a better deal at the local Costco on "similar" paper (800 sheets for about $7), this is REALLY NICE paper. Bright, heavy, quality paper. I don't regret my purchase at all.

should i buy Epson Premium Presentation Paper MATTE (8.5x11 Inches reviews

Perfect for non-glare photographs, craft projects and signage. Resists fading up to 72 years. Guaranteed to work with all inkjet printers. Form Type: N/A; Global Product Type: Office Paper; Paper Type: Presentation; Sheet Size (W x H): 8 1/2 in x 11 in. MATTE WAS MY PREFERENCE IN TRADITIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY:
It has always been my preference to have pictures done on a matte medium. While using traditional pictures especially if you like I did switched to the APS format, you could no longer get a matte finish. Since I have gone digital, the only papers, that I have seen have been glossy, so this was a pleasant surprise.
A CO-WORKER WHO IS ALSO A PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER, INTRODUCED ME TO THIS PAPER:
Knowing I used many reams of paper in glossy prints but really liked matte, a co-worker told me of this matte finish ink jet paper and showed me a photo he had done. Wow! He had the Epson 890 like I did, so I had to run out and get some of this amazing paper. His daughter in the photo, was wearing a red dress and it was amazing in depth of color.
MY TEST SHOTS WERE PHENOMENAL:
I was not dissappointed in the results. Though I have used it only on a couple of shots (I consider my test shots), I was amazed at the crispness of the photo. Only time will tell how well it lasts. I plan to subject some to the ultimate test (for me) hung on my office wall without a frame. I'll write back and tell you how it did.
NO GLARE MEANS THE PICTURE JUMPS RIGHT OUT AT YOU:
What I particularly like about matte pictures is the lack of glare. You don't have to get the right angle to view it. Also there is almost a 3D effect since you don't see the surface of the paper to make it flat. That is really nice.
MATTE IS CHEAPER THAN GLOSSY:
Matte paper at 50 pages per sheet cost also about the same of 20 sheets of glossy paper.. That too is a good thing. Anyone thinking about using an inkjet printer for photography must try this paper. I do fine art photography and my own darkroom work in medium format. I just purchased the Epson 1270 printer and have been using this heavy weight paper with eye opening results. This paper is pure white and used with the new inks in the 870 and 1270 printers has a fade resistant life of over 26 years. This paper has the look of a fine art Ilford or Kodak N surface...And best of all ..the price is hard to beat ! Epson should really come up with an Ad Campaign that says, "Paper matters." Because if you've ever owned an Epson with photo-realistic capabilities and tried this paper, you'd know what I mean.
This stuff is incredible. It's honestly almost impossible to distinguish between prints made on this paper and the photo glossy paper and actual photographs. Incredible.
I've experienced no fading problems so far, and I treat my photos like any user would (ie: throw them on the desk and sorta forget about them until I clean). My main complaint about this paper is that it is difficult to tell which is the printable side. My other disappointment is that it didn't make the final copies look any better than my regular printer paper. In fact, several of the final framed prints are regular printer paper, and you can't tell the difference. This is awesome paper for digital scrapbooking and crafts. The matte finish is much nicer than glossy. I also do a lot of digital artwork and this paper is the BEST! Make sure you print on the correct side of the paper, however. I definitely recommend this! Have been using this paper for years for photos, cards and anything that needs a stiffer paper. The results are consistent and never fail to get complimentsWhen I want a matte paper that is lighter weight than the really heavy photo papers but heavier than the standard grade presentation paper, this is what I use. It produces photos that are crisp and vibrant. There is a lighter version of this, the Epson Presentation Paper, Matte. It produces exactly the same quality prints if you want an even lighter paper than this. I have both versions, this one is 44 lb, the lighter weight version is 27 lb.
If you are doing something that requires a little more stiffness to your project, this would work great. If you just need great quality prints on a fairly light paper, go with the 27 lb version.
One final note, these are NOT for two sided printing. The back side is a darker shade, and does not have the smooth finish. If you print on the back by mistake it will not turn out well. If I'm working in dim lighting I need to hold a back against a front so I can tell the difference for when I load my printer. I bought this paper with intent on using it for my quilling cards. It is so perfect as regular card stock tends to yellow after a while & with quilled cards, people like to display them for some time. It was recommended to me by a friend to use photo paper instead of regular card stock! Again, I didn't have to pay for it, I was able to use the gift cards I earned from using [...] points! Free stuff is always superior!! OK- I just ordered this paper, but only once I got it did I realize that the title clearly says it is Heavyweight Matte inkjet paper, NOT the 4 star premium presentation paper shown in the picture. While the paper that was delivered says "perfect for high quality photo reprints and enlargements", its not! Its perfectly fine as cardstock but horrible to print photos. I've been using this paper for at least 8 years now, and I love it. The colors are beautiful, it resists fading (Epson's specs claim 150 years for my printer), and it's inexpensive. It's perfect for photo album prints or framed photos, and the surface won't stick to glass or plastic like glossy paper sometimes will. By the way, that 3-star reviewer that said "sometimes the paper is off-white" may not be the best person to trust. Apparently they never bothered to look at both sides of the paper... the non-printable back side of the paper is slightly off white, which means that this person has been using the paper backwards sometimes without knowing it! It is what it says it is. I bought it for postcards but it was too light. It's a nice weight photo paper but just not postcard weight. I ended up buying 140# paper from Kelly Paper store. This Epson paper is nice for what it is though. I use this medium for paper model building, just design building on computer, print on matte paper, cut out, and glue to thin balsa wood. Then I glue walls together, cut out window openings and doors, add lighting, details, building signs, Then for the inside details. I google wallpaper samples, carpet, picture frame for the walls, and glue to balsa interior walls. It is heavy enough to withstand the rigors of constant handling, different glue types, chalking for aging, and yes, even painting over with latex or enamel paints. I use finished 1930 type buildings for HO railroad layout. I have been very pleased with the results from printing my photos on the Epson Heave Matte paper. They look very crisp. I have received many compliments on the photos and the way they look printed. I have recommended this paper to others. I love this paper for my black and white photographs - gives the pictures velvet-like quality. (Also no ugly spots where the paper touches the glass, if you don't use photo mats.)Excellent paper for my printing black/white pictures and also color pictures. I get good quality prints and I am well satisfied with this product. The price is very, very competitive and I can't see using any other kind of paper for my printing needs at this time.I use this paper to print out the original copies of my association newsletter. It makes VERY clear original prints, which then are used to make color copies for our members. Much better than printing on regular inkjet paper. Also, I use it for printing pictures taken in the classroom. The students can cut and mount their pictures when doing writing projects. I've used Epson's Premium Glossy, Colorlife and Heavyweight Matte. The Matte is far cheaper and gives beautiful results. I've actually found that I like the Matte best for framing. It has a less reflective surface and looks more 'arty' than photographic. But I wouldn't recommend it for architectural, detailed photographs. A good benefit of both the Matte and Colorlife is that they have the longest rated life without fading of any paper for use with Epson's dye based printers.Epson makes great printer papers. I use Epson's matte paper almost as much as the regular inkjet paper. This paper is made for color presentation and graphic. I print out my portfolio and sample work with matte paper because it is relatively cheap to the high quality printout. I use the Epson 820 and the color print matches the monitor colors (98%) almost perfect.
For photo prints it is fine, but photos are simultaneous with glossy texture. If you like glossy photo then this is not the photo paper you would get. The colors do not jump at you nor have sharp deferential qualities that glossy can produce. Printing plain texts without color might be too wasteful (costly) for matte paper. I considered Epson the best in paper qualities over Canon, HP, Kodak and others for the quality/price. I have switched to the Canon i960 and am still using Epson's paper. It is that versatile. I tend to use the harder to find Epson double-side matte paper.
I primarily use my printer to make prints of my digital pics. I cannot stress enough how much better they look on this paper.
High quality paper makes all the difference in the world when it comes to inkjet printing. I've tried quite a few different brands of paper, and I have fallen in love with the Epson line. The pictures turn out sharp, rich and clear.
The difference between matte and glassy paper is important to note. Glossy is exactly what it sounds like, it's shiny paper like the kind they use for your 5x7 prints. Matte paper is flat, not shiny. It doesn't reflect and is great for large pictures.
The only downside of the paper is that it does turn colors with time :-(. Epson says that if you keep them in an airtight package, say behind glass, they won't turn as quickly. Mine did in about a year and a half, but they were simply held in a stack, and not behind glass or in a sheet protector.
All that being said, it is good paper and my machines prints well on it. I do think, however, that the glossy paper may stand up to time better.

should i buy Epson Photo Paper GLOSSY (8.5x11 Inches, reviews

This paper arrived very very fast and was in great condition however I'm only giving it four stars because it arrived in an open box. The paper itself was wrapped though and it works really well so I'm still satisfied. I would recommend it. There are many other papers available but, for the price, this is the best I have found for most photographs. A large variety of other papers are available for special applications or gallery prints but for everyday use, this one is best for Epson printers. It can match with Canon Platinum Pro paper with a bit difference. Tested on Canon 9000Pro printer. The price is quite accepted, highly recommended. Great quality though, so no complaints. If you are looking for heavier weight paper for reports and such, look elsewhere. I have had outstanding results with this paper (8 1/2 X 11) as well as other Epson photo papers (4X6 and 5X7). The ink is dry almost as soon as it comes out of the printer (Epson Artison 810) using Claria inks. With other brands of photo paper, I've waited as long as 20 minutes for the ink to dry. The description of this item says EPSON MATTE Photo Paper and what you receive is Epson GLOSSY Photo Parer. I expected to receive Matte and I got Glossy. Looking back at the picture of the item, it does say Glossy in the picture, BUT I went by the Item's description as I had searched for Matte paper and this item was listed as being Matte in the Item Title in Bold letters. The paper I received was exactly what I was looking for and MUCH cheaper than in stores. I will definitely be coming back for more in the future. Thank You! I bought this EPSON product #S041271 photo paper as the same product# I have used for many years to make calendars. The product received was in a different box, although the # was the same, but would not absorb the ink on the reverse side. Contacted ANTonline who responded that consumables are not refundable although I could not find where it said that on the website and they would no longer respond. Will never buy from them again. should i buy Epson Premium Presentation Paper MATTE reviews

I'm in grad school working on a graphic design degree, and one of my professors recommended this paper. It is awesome. I haven't used it with a non-Epson printer, but even with my low-end model, it is bright, crisp, and vibrant.

Generally, Epson printer + Epson paper = perfection, but this paper in particular is my favorite. And $20 for a 100-pack is a phenomenal price. this paper is exactly what I wanted. It looks fantastic if your have your settings correct. I have an EPSON 1400 and left the paper setting on Plain Bright White instead of choosing the "Premium Presentation Paper" setting and my prints turned out super. I have only printed my art so far from Photoshop after assigning a RGB profile. I tried the "Premium Presentation Paper" setting and my prints came out way darker than I wanted. This may be a different story with photographs?
This paper is nice and bright white, the matte finish looks great, and it dries quickly. superb price too. highly recommended high-quality paper. Epson Presentation Paper has filled a need for another medium used for a special purpose. A high quality paper I use for photographs, two fold cards and text presentations. I probably should have bought the double sided paper to increase the versatility but the single sided suits my requirements. I was surprised of the image quality of this product. I have always loved Epson Matte papers; but they need to better identify non-coated side. HP clearly marks their non-coated sides, as do other manufacturers. Makes it more difficult to mess up placing paper in printer.I love this paper! I is water resistant and has enough weight to make some very nice cards and calendar pages on my printer. Way to go Espson..please don't discontinue!Sorry I bought this paper. While it worked ok in my Epson printer, I felt that it was dull compared to Kodak paper of the same weight. I won't be buying this product in the future. I have an epson photo 1400. Yes I bought it for printing photos, but when I want to just print something out on good ole paper, plain white paper is a mess. The writing in blurred and pictures are a mess. I started using this matte presentation paper and all is good. Prints beautifully. this paper is exactly what I wanted. It looks fantastic if your have your settings correct. This paper is nice and bright white, the matte finish looks great, and it dries quickly. superb price too. highly recommended high-quality paper. The paper was basically want I wanted although it was a little thinner than I expected. Also was a little less bright than other brands but certainly worth the price. I would buy it again. I ended up using some of this when I found that I was out of velvet fine art paper. To my surprise this paper works very well to print small pieces of fine art. It is a bright white so it works well with colorful images and the print permanence ratings are quite high when the paper is used with Epson inks. It is a good product and I will use more of it in the future. My daughter opened a restaurant and needed menu covers. I printed a combination of photo and text and it was all sharp and crisp with perfect color. She and I are both happy with the result. I picked this up today at my local photo store and I tried printing on it. It printed all of the colors and did not distort any of the blacks. it is an excellent paper to print photos on!!! although it does look like regular cardstock paper i think it looks better than the glossy kind of paper (gloss y also prints less colors). cheap and efficient...what more can you ask for =)

should i buy Canon Photo Paper Matte, 4 x 6 Inches, reviews

I recently purchased a new canon printer and knew I wanted to order some paper along with the purchace of the printer.
This isn't photo quality paper. It's basically white construction paper cut into 4x6 pieces. There's no finish to it and it absorbs ink like crazy. Honestly, the photos look just awful.
Normally I don't believe in negative reviews and find most are user caused, but this is not the case for this item and I think we should all get our money back! the Matte photo paper is different from what I think it should be....the result is much different from the Matte photo from the outside photo print studio...I only try out one...I wouldn't use it anymore... This is excellent matte photo paper. I have used it to print photos and cards. Text comes out very crisp and photo print quality is excellent. You won't get the same depth of blacks as you would for glossy paper, but the prints still look great.

I have only been using canon brand paper on my Pixma as per the recommendation of others and it seems to be a good choice!Snowed a few days before Christmas this year and I took a ton of pics of my kids first time out sledding. Printed the images with my Canon MX870 and was smiling ear to ear. I could not believe the quality of the photos. Picked up the pictures and no smudging at all when touched. One week later and the photos have survived my 2yr old twins and still look great.
I highly recommend this paper for printing pics for family and friends.Bought this for my mother for Christmas to use with her new photo printer, as she has always preferred store matte finishes. The matte seems to suck up the ink and dull the image. Not sure if this is only the Canon matte products or all matte paper products. I used this same paper in glossy and photos look great. Great paper. Photos turn out beautiful (so far). It is surprising at first because it doesn't feel like the matte photos I've gotten in the past. It is quite like a piece of cardstock but it's sturdy and the photo looks great so who's complaining! I use this paper in my canon IP6000d and get beautiful results. I can't tell the difference from it and the glossy paper under glass. Another advantage is that the matte doesn't glare. The Matte isn't as likely to be damaged when handled or stick in photo albums. I really like this paper, the blacks and dark colors look like velvet. I don't understand the reviews that give it only 1 star. Perhaps they are printing on the wrong side or not using a canon printer. It is difficult to tell the printing side from the back in poor lighting but in a good light you can see that the back is a cream color and the printing side is very white. as a gift, along with a package of this photo paper. I can't say enough good things about the printer or the paper. The photos come out absolutely beautiful. Every time I print a picture, whether it's color or black & white, I am always amazed that I am able to print such a beautiful quality photo in my own home.

As mentioned in other reviews, you have to make sure you're printing on the correct side of the paper. The front is bright white and the back has kind of a dull, gray hue to itThis paper offers just the beautiful, crisp, matte look I love in photos. I suspect many of the people who hate it are printing on the wrong side -- be sure to print to the whiter side! Prints are instantly dry, no smudging. You can write on the reverse side; pens write smoothly, and writing doesn't show through. My printer is currently cranking out our Christmas photo postcards, and they're looking great!

should i buy Photo Paper 100 sheets, 4 x 6-inch

This is the best Photo Paper made by anyone! matte finish (especially for Photographers) is really the only way to go. It is also a little thicker than regular Glossey. JC This is my preferred way to save my photos. The matte finish makes every detail visible in any light and the paper takes ink like a pro. Be sure to have your printer set up for the best DPI available as it also shows the printers faults perfectly too. I bought this because I prefer the semi-gloss and to that extent it works well. But this photo paper has a perforated tab on the end. It is clearly indicated on the box, I just didn't look close enough prior to purchasing. I'm not sure what its for, but it is really annoying. I usually end up with fingerprint smudges all over my pictures trying to get it off. I've found removing the tab prior to printing works best. Was very excited when I saw that they had Matte photo paper so I had to order it. When I received it it was awesome and will order it again I bought this because I prefer the semi-gloss and to that extent it works well. But this photo paper has a perforated tab on the end. I don't recommend this for anyone. Its intentionally paying more for less.. the Advanced glossy is amazingly better. Flat, dull, off colors. I don't recommend this for anyone. Fast shipping. Great shopping experience. My only grievance with this paper is that the price went up dramatically but I understand why. This is by far the most quality photo paper I have ever bought, the second it goes on sale again I will buy at least 5 more minimum! This is my preferred way to save my photos. I had just bought an HP Photosmart Premium AIO and was not initially impressed with the photos prints using the HP Advanced papers. Color and contrast were great, but I could clearly see the dots in the lighter areas. Also tried Canon premium papers I had leftover and was equally disappointed that it looked worse than my 5 year old 6 ink photo printer.

I decided to give the Photo Premium Plus Glossy paper a try and was extremely impressed! The detail is amazing and I can't see any dots other than the grain from the camera sensor at high ISOs. I am pretty picky about printer output and didn't believe a 4 color inkjet could produce such sharp and smooth photos. Paper made all of the difference. Love the light sheen of the paper as well, feels and looks like a high quality lab print.I had been using a similar product from another manufacturer but when I began using this one I was amazed at the results. The pictures appear to be even finer than those from a photoshop. I applaud the qualities of this product. Started printing from home instead of using the photo lab, and I am not dissapointed!! I was not sure about the compatibility with my Canon Pixma, but that was before I read that it was compatible with ALL inkjets. I recommend this for all photographers, beginner to pro. It's worth it. My wife and I love this paper for all our printing needs. The paper creates an amazing print of your most cherished moments. We don't know how it does it, but the paper makes all of the pictures look better when we printed them on this paper. So...if your thinking about it.....DON'T.....Get this great paper and you will never go back to regular print paper ever againI have used HP Premium Plus Photo Paper for 4 years and this is the best
photo paper they ever made. I am so disappointed that now they make it
in instant dry and I can't use it. The color is terrible and not as
clear as non instant dry. Hope I can find more on Amazon so very
happy I could find this paper. This photo paper is top-notch and produces spectacular results when use in conjuction with a photosmart HP printer. I would recommend this to anyone looking for quality home prints at a decent price.Started printing from home instead of using the photo lab, and I am not dissapointed!! I was not sure about the compatibility with my Canon Pixma, but that was before I read that it was compatible with ALL inkjets. I recommend this for all photographers, beginner to pro. It's worth it. This is the best photo paper I've found. I'm a digital guy but my wife loves the hard copies. I give her a smart card with the digital photos, and a box of this paper, and she goes to town on our HP printer, right from the card. I don't miss the rolls of flim at all! I'd recommend this highly. I must let you know, however, that the paper is warm-toned, so will seem to filter your pictures more warmly than some other papers. But the quality (i.e., heft, weight) of the stock cannot be beat. I purchased the HP Premium Plus from Amazon and got it in no time. I have a HP photo printer and did my first test by printing my baby picture taken from my Sony camera. Wow the quality is amazing. I do not need professional printing. I am ordering a next pack.
Thanks HP and Amazon. The picture quality is phenomenal. I swear by HP products. The print is dry and water resistant when it comes out of the printer. I have printed a couple of dozen photos and the ink tanks are just down a hair. I will buy the XL tanks when the time comes. But, I'm getting off track. I really like the Premium Plus Photo Paper. Buy some. I had been using a similar product from another manufacturer but when I began using this one I was amazed at the results. The pictures appear to be even finer than those from a photoshop. I applaud the qualities of this product.

should i buy HP Premium Photo Paper, Glossy reviews

HP Premium Photo Paper with a glossy finish renders vibrant, fade-resistant colors for prints that you can be proud of. Rich, deep blacks, realistic skin tones, and soft, subtle effects help you achieve the look and feel of traditional photographs. You get the thickness and weight of store-processed photos ensures you can achieve true 4 x 6-inch prints, making this paper ideal for borderless edge to edge printing. And your vivid photos will be sure to stand the test of time, since prints on this paper resist fading even longer than store processed photos when you use it with HP Vivera Inks. After buying my first HP photo printer, I ordered this paper. First - it's very inexpensive, compared to buying it at Staples or Office Depot - about half the price. Second - the print quality is really fantastic. It's not quite as glossy as the HP premier plus paper (which I recommend if the prints are for something you want framed)- but it's just as good as anything you'd get at a lab. Actually - it's better considering you can edit the photo any way you like, if the hard copy isn't exactly what you wanted. I highly recommend this product. FYI- If you buy it directly from HP - it's the same price and no shipping costs either. I have been using HP premium photo papers for years. Very satisfied with their quality and price. Note that this type of glossy paper requires about one hour for drying. This paper did not arrive in an HP box as shown in the image, or stated in the product description. I ordered this same HP paper last year. To find this product, I clicked on the link from last year's order.

However, this time the paper arrived in a plastic bag with no box. A sticker on the bag says it's manufactured in Switzerland. It is HP paper per the logo on the back of each sheet. But I'm leery of using it in case it should mess up my printer. I guess the $4.00 price should have tipped me off something was different.

After receiving the paper I checked the vendor's marketplace listing and it does read that the paper is: "BRAND NEW! Original Factory sealed plastic bag." So who's at fault? I would say Amazon.com for listing "Creative Merchandise" as the seller on the main sales page which shows and states that the paper is packaged in an HP box. I don't feel I should have to search out the vendor on the marketplace page to verify that his description matches Amazon's sales page.Purchased a bulk lot of this paper as it was super cheap... Now I understand why (buyer beware). The first several prints came out fine. Then started to notice that the black portions were coming out with lighter colors. After about 50 prints (was at a show), I took a break and decided to clean the heads, etc. This process clogged the heads. I changed out all the ink jet cartridges (with new ones) and could not get the heads to clean or nosels to function correctly. Seemed the more I tried to clean and correct the problem, the worse it became until it would barely print anything at all (even on regular printer paper). I did notice that each print took longer than usual to print and was "wet" when it came out. Took several minutes to dry properly (but still not right). The finish had an overly glossy wet paint look to it. Even though these were give away prints, most people were not thrilled with their pictures. As it is probably cheaper to purchase a new printer than have this repaired, am scared to try these again, but have over Not sure if I happened to receive a defective batch, but the printing on this paper was subpar. The ink did not dry quickly and the sheets stuck together even after a drying time of five minutes. Returned product. I have an HP PhotoSmart printer and this paper is perfect. I bought two picture frames as birthday gifts and wanted good quality paper to print the pictures on. This fits the bill. For the amount you get and the quality, you really can't beat the price. I recommend it for those with HP printers. For those without HP printers, you could still try it but it usually works better when you buy the brand that goes with your printer. Please note that there are HP watermarks on the back of the paper in case that may be an issue. This is by far the best paper I've had when using my photosmart all in one printer. Simply awesome if your looking for glossy photos. Not that good for picture frames that will have a ton of light since it's so glossy but in lower light it's great. It is soooo nice to be able to print quality photos in my living room. The paper is very reasonably priced and the final product is actually better than the corner drugstore. I will continue to buy this paper and suggest you all do the same. This photo paper is the best in its category, ideal weight, great color results and it never jams, not once! I am printing on a daily basis, so I can attest to that more than your average, low-volume user.
The finish is superb, not too glossy, either. Portrait images "come out" near perfect! I strongly recommend this particular photo paper. Apparently, HP has stopped making the High Gloss version of the 4x6" Premium Plus photo paper. I bought this once by mistake and found the colors to be really awful, as if I had used really cheap paper. Buy their "Premium" paper instead. It's almost as good as the "Premium Plus" used to be. This is good quality paper, and i love not having to tear off one side with a tab. This paper might be more expensive, but it looks more professional in individual 4x6 size photos. Photos look great. This paper is really nice. I have used a LOT of other Photo paper in the past, and this has to make for the best photos I've printed at home...ever...by a long shot. Clear, glossy pics. Works wonderful with the HP Photosmart I got it to go with. I have found it more cost effective to purchase my pictures from a vendor on the internet, but I keep photo paper on hand to print out pictures when I need something NOW. I love this paper and the quality of printing is just like a local vendor. In fact with my printer, I have more control over what and how things are printed. I didn't use this paper on an HP printer, but I recommend against getting it for any other printer (at least). As another person mentioned, it takes very long to dry, and gives worse image quality than cheaper papers. Black ink doesn't seem to absorb as much as colors, so you get odd reflectivity changes around black edges.I have been using HP premium photo papers for years. Very satisfied with their quality and price. Note that this type of glossy paper requires about one hour for drying. This is excellent photo paper. I have created hundreds of perfect quality photos on this paper. It is better paper than many professional photo developers use. I am very highly satisfied
